「地を歩く」　-東京23区 2018～2025-
 
【東京23区という存在について】
2018年から、東京23区を「歩く」ことを優先し、立ち止まった地点で撮影をした。
いつしか、降り立った駅前の街並みから離れ、通りの大小や、地図に示された区画など関係なく、その「地」が持つ地形や気配に誘われ、歩き進んだ。
それは、「ヒト」そのものが本来持ち合わせている「本能」に近づこうとする試みとなった。
 

【あとがき】
写真を本格的に始めて、最初の数年が経過した頃から、東京23区の街並みを撮るといるプロジェクトを立ち上げた。次第に、「私（ヒト）」の視線が反応し、立ち止まる偶然にまかせた地点で写真を撮るようになった。
 
それは、何かを「獲る」というより、あたかも果実が実るように「穫れていく」ことのようでもある。
どうやら、私という「ヒト」が立ち止まる地点は、ぴかぴかに光が反射する高層ビル群より、自然にできた迷路のようで少しばかり無作為な道沿い、また、「ヒト」と共鳴しあう植物の緑でもあり、けもの道のような街路、自前で繰り返し増改築や改修された建築の痕跡の前であるようだ。
 
年月を重ねた間に、本来の「地」の主人たち（ヒト）の造作なき営みから生まれ、「自然」と調和をもたらした、ある種、街の原型の中を歩く。
その時、気まぐれのように、見えない何かをつかまえてしまう体験を思い起こすことができたようである。
 
 
それこそが「地」との対話だったのかもしれない。

On the Existence of Tokyo’s 23 WardsSince 2018, I have prioritized the act of "walking" through Tokyo’s 23 wards, capturing photographs at the exact moments and places I found myself coming to a halt.Before long,I found myself drifting away from the familiar streetscapes of the station fronts where I first arrived.
 
Regardless of the size of the streets or the boundaries marked on a map, I moved forward, drawn by the topography and the lingering presence inherent to the "land" itself.
 
This process became an attempt to reconnect with the primal "instincts" that we, as human beings, originally possessed.
Afterword A few years after I began photography in earnest, I launched a project to document the streets of Tokyo’s 23 wards. 
 
Over time, I began to rely on the serendipity of the moment—taking photos at the points where my gaze instinctively reacted and caused me to stop.
It felt less like "capturing" a subject and more like a "harvest," as if the images were ripening like fruit, ready to be gathered.
 
It seems the places where I, as a human, am moved to stop are not the gleaming surfaces of skyscrapers reflecting the light. Instead, I am drawn to the somewhat random paths that resemble natural mazes, the greenery of plants that resonate with the human spirit, streets that feel like animal trails, and the traces of buildings repeatedly expanded and renovated by hand.As the years passed, I found myself walking within a kind of urban archetype— spaces born from the artless, daily lives of the land's original inhabitants that brought a sense of harmony with "nature.
 
"In those moments, I felt I was able to recall the experience of catching something invisible, as if by a whim of fate.Perhaps that was, in essence, a dialogue with the"land.
