【地を歩く -東京23区 2018～2025-】

写真を本格的に始めて、最初の数年が経過した頃から、東京23区の街並みを撮るといるプロジェクトを立ち上げた。次第に、「私（ヒト）」の視線が反応し、立ち止まる偶然にまかせた地点で写真を撮るようになった。



それは、何かを「獲る」というより、あたかも果実が実るように「穫れていく」ことのようでもある。

どうやら、私という「ヒト」が立ち止まる地点は、ぴかぴかに光が反射する高層ビル群より、自然にできた迷路のようで少しばかり無作為な道沿い、また、「ヒト」と共鳴しあう植物の緑でもあり、けもの道のような街路、自前で繰り返し増改築や改修された建築の痕跡の前であるようだ。



年月を重ねた間に、本来の「地」の主人たち（ヒト）の造作なき営みから生まれ、「自然」と調和をもたらした、ある種、街の原型の中を歩く。

その時、気まぐれのように、見えない何かをつかまえてしまう体験を思い起こすことができたようである。





それこそが「地」との対話だったのかもしれない。

"Walking the Ground – Tokyo 23 Wards 2018–2025"

Several years after immersing myself in the art of photography, I initiated a project to capture the cityscapes of Tokyo's 23 wards. Over time, my process evolved; I began to entrust my shutter to serendipity, capturing moments only when my gaze—my primal human instinct—reacted and caused me to pause.

It feels less like "hunting" for a subject and more like a gentle "harvesting"—as if waiting for fruit to ripen and fall into my hands.

It seems the places that arrest my steps are not the gleaming skyscrapers reflecting harsh light, but rather the organic, labyrinthine paths that feel almost accidental. I am drawn to the greenery that resonates with our human spirit, the streets that resemble animal trails, and the facades bearing the textured traces of repeated, self-made renovations.

As the years accumulated, I found myself walking through a certain archetype of the city—a landscape born from the unpretentious daily lives of the land's original inhabitants, creating a quiet harmony with nature.

In those moments, I feel I was able to recall the sensation of grasping something invisible, something captured almost on a whim.

Perhaps that, in its purest form, was my dialogue with the earth itself.
